Dehydrated Watermelon

Dehydrated Watermelon~
When watermelon is dehydrated it tastes like candy. Here I dehydrated whole slices with the rind because I like the way it looks. However, the rind can easily be removed and the watermelon can be dehydrated in strips or square chunks.
Ingredients
  • 1 watermelon*
Instructions
  1. Set Dehydrator at 135°
  2. Cut watermelon in half, and in half again; slice to desired thickness.
  3. Removing rind is optional. Cut the watermelon in triangle slices, strips or chunks. Smaller slices and chunks may do better on parchment paper, larger triangles can be laid directly on dehydrator trays.
  4. Dehydrate for 36 - 48 hours until dry, leathery, barely sticky.
